Tuesday 5th July

Dave,
20 Sandpipers turned up to play, I think all 20 were looking very closely at the sky, because the weather forecast was not good, but fortunately the forecast rain was minimal and all players completed the round in warm but cloudy conditions.
The result of the T Anderson 5 Club Cup was fairly close for 18 of the 20 participants, but 2 players destroyed  the rest and also destroyed my belief that lightning doesn’t strike in the same place twice. Last week I was marking Roger Cutts card when he scored 40 points, 25 of those coming on the back nine, and I didn’t think  I would see that again for a while. Well this week I was marking Roger’s card again and could only stand by and watch as he and David Low slugged it out to be the winner.  David Low was standing on the 18th Tee 1 point ahead of Roger. Roger walked off of the 18th Green with a birdie and 4 points, David unfortunately could only manage 2 points leaving Roger with 44 Points (a back 9 of 26 points) to win, David had to settle for second place with 43 points.
Roger must be in the running for Bandit of 2011
Kind Regards
Trevor
