Geoff Scott

 Sad to advise that Geoff passed away recently after years of ill health. His claim to fame was a hole in one on the ninth using his driver. The funeral is on the 26th March.

Update

 Poor weather lately but some hardy souls have braved it even if they retired early.

Roger and Jane Cutts

Both Roger and Jane were cremated at Distington today in a ceremony that celebrated their devotion to one another. The ceremony was well supported by Sandpipers who presented a wreath.

Seasonal Best Wishes

 Happy Xmas and Healthy New Year to all retired and on the verge of retiring Sandpipers. Hoping for sunshine and no wind.

Tommy Neilly

Tommy got a good send off at Carlisle crematoriam last week. A good few Sandpipers attended and although not all attended the chapel service in Silloth afterwards the golf club was packed out for his wake. 

Today's Golf

 21 played in a Texas Scramble. Mizzly conditions to start but inproved as the day wore on. Lucky winners Harry Wright, David Holdridge and Martin Fouracre
