 Sandpipers v Workington 29th July

A 5 - 3 loss away puts a little blip in our winning ways, however, we still managed to retain the George Shanks Trophy with an overall win against Workington. Great result in the end and well played guys.

Tuesday 16th July

The day started with a "formal" presentation by Arthur Thompson to Owen Swift who gracefully accepted a set of L plates and a tingling bell for his new ride on buggy. If that wasn't exciting enough, the professional warned us that due to forecast lightning he may blow the claxon instructing us to leave the course or shelter in the METAL sheds. Fortunately the weather over Silloth was perfect and 22 registered to play in the Stableford. Steve Whitehead took the honours with 37 points and Owen Swift took second with 34 points, beating Peter Taylor on a count back.
