First round of the Autumn League today. 20 players entered ( after the screen was fixed - please take care when registering on the computer - think before you press ).

Winner with 38 points was John Parker.  Second after a count-back was Eddie Varah with 34. Although we could see blue skies all round us, we sadly played in cool conditions under a large grey cloud for 18 holes.

Thursday 29-08-24 - Summer League Conclusion

Thank you to everybody who has supported our League Competition this """Summer""""""" !!

With 2 of the games lost to bad weather, we took part in the final game and battled round the Green Course in warm, sunny but breezy conditions today. The winner, with 37 points, was Terry Bunn who beat birthday boy, David Low into second - 36 points ( thank you for the drinks David.) Mr Bunn also won a nice box of chocolates with a nearest the pin on the 16th. Thanks to Clark Black for this.

Although our winner ran away with it, the position of the other 3 placings in the Summer League was not decided until the last match.

Thursday 22nd August

 The last group were unlucky to be caught in a shower on the 18th green but other than that, everybody "enjoyed" a dry blustery day. 16 took part in the 8th Match of the Summer League. Top of the pile with a worthy 36 points was David Houldridge followed in second by David Low with 33 points.

The 9th and 10th matches of the Summer League take place on Tuesday and Thursday of next week with Tuesday played on the GREEN COURSE

Bob Saunders Cup

An excellent turnout today especially after yesterdays match at Penrith. 30 played in bright sunshine and very strong winds. Two scores of 36 points are to be highly commended in the tough conditions. John Wraight beating Vince Ross on a countback.

Superb 5 - 3 win at a difficult venue. Great result and well played Team Sandpipers. Impressive end to a very good season. Thank you to everyone who played and supported the team over the 13 games. It's been a busy summer when you add in our competitions, Thursday league (sometimes Tuesday) games and trips away, so thank you again for seeing it through to a successful conclusion. Well played everyone.
