Gary has been in touch to advise that due to forthcoming knee surgery and uncertainty about future mobility he has decided not t renew his club membership. He sends best wishes to all the friends he made in the Sandpipers and I'm sure we all wish him the best for a successful outcome.

Tuesday 13th February
The 24 who took part in the rescheduled Bottle Trot encountered the usual stiff breeze but enjoyed brighter and slightly milder weather. Thanks go to Bob Fin for standing down to even up the numbers.
The runaway winners were Jon Derry, Clive Milburn and Antonio Gerbino. All losing 2 shots.
Thank you also to Clark Black, who successfully organised a nearest the pin competition at the 9th. Owen Swift won the prize and shared a box of golf balls with his team. Clark's success was noted to the extent that when initially asked to assist with future Texas Scrambles, we quickly turned this into " Clark IS in charge of ALL future Scrambles."
Thank you to Brian Taylor for organising today's competition but we will not be sorry to lose your amazing arithmetical capabilities which usually leaves us all scratching our heads.

Brian Taylor requests this information be circulated
The postponed bottle trot will be held on Tuesday 13th February, weather-permitting. If cancelled due to bad weather, you can assume it will be held on the first good-weather Tuesday which follows.
Should any Sandpiper enter who normally plays off Green tees, then the entire field will play off Green tees. Three-man teams will be drawn in the usual way. Any player generously withdrawing to even up the numbers will still 'win' a bottle.
Since we won't know until the day which tees we will be using, a small amendment to the arrangements. There will still be three categories of low, medium and higher handicaps, but in this case the categories will be based on exact WHS Index, so make sure you know what yours is on the day!
Entry fee for the Bottle Trot is £2.
