Seniors' Open

I'm informed that visiting competitors were very complimentary about the organisation of the competition so congratulations to all the Sandpiper volunteers for their efforts in making it a successful  day.

Penrith Match Result

A win is a win, even by the smallest of margins (4.5 - 3.5) against Penrith at home. Played in mostly sunny and breezy conditions.
Next Tuesday we play for the Banks Trophy.

Thursday, 3 August 2023

Thursday 3rd August

Two surprisingly modest scores took the money today, Brian Taylor's 37 (17 - 14) beating Vince Ross on countback (12 - 10). Vince also along with David Houldridge  invited us to celebrate their birthdays in the lounge afterwards.
At a brief committee meeting it was agreed to instigate a waiting list for membership due to the high numbers wishing to play regularly and limited tee slots available to us and John Parker has been co-opted to assist Joe with responsibility for team selection.

Carrick Trophy Result

David Houldridge had an outstanding day scoring 43 points to win the trophy ahead of Lynn Hopkins' 40. Thirty one played in pleasant condition which were nothing like the forecast.
Next Tuesday our team play Penrith at home leaving a couple of slots at 11.50 and 12 noon for eight players who might wish to get a game.
