Seascale Match Result

The Sandpipers scraped through 4.5 - 3.5 and congratulations to Jim Johnson for staying back to record the scores. The question is, did it make much difference to the day not having a meal after the match? 

Carris Trophy

No doubt you'll all have read the latest news bulletin from the Club and appeal for volunteers to assist with the various duties. An opportunity for those not away that week to append their names to slots that need filling and earn brownie points for the Sandpipers. 

Tuesday 4th July

Great day for golf, especially for Jon Parker with 43 points (27 - 21) and second placed Clark Black with 40 (15 - 11). Three of us got two shots back. Twenty five played.

A reminder for those playing for the Sandpipers against Seascale on Thursday that although there is no catering following each match our players are expected to offer hospitality in the lounge to their opponents.

Eddie Varah's (Sandpiper) handicap goes up from 15 to 17.

Runner-up - Owen Swift who had another good round with 35 points and his (Sandpiper) handicap reduces further from 26 to 25.

Winner, and in a class of his own with 39 points, was Bob Finlinson whose (Sandpiper) handicap reduces from 19 to 15.
