Celts v Saxons

The annual match is in the Club's diary for the 7th September but as quite a few of us are not available on that day it has been rearranged for Tuesday  21st September. A sheet will be put on the notice board for members to enter the ancestral team they wish to play for. Anything beginning with Mac, Mc or O' are automatically selected.

Penrith v Sandpipers Result

Another scorcher at Penrith today after the mist burnt off. The Penrith captain informed us that five of the matches were decided by just one hole. Unfortunately he was smiling at the time before announcing a 7 - 1 win for Dads Army.

Thursday 19th August Result

I think I have today's results correct having received them over the phone while being driven along the Carlisle bypass. This may come as a shock to the two winners with exceptional scores now we have reverted to the original handicapping system where Peter Taylor's 41 points has cost him 5 shots and Tony Davis' 40 points 4 shots. With only sixteen playing it wasn't financially a good move.
Next Tuesday we play for the Saunders Trophy, entering via email to Joe by 6pm Sunday. Next week is also the last week for email entries as the following week we revert to balls in the chute.
