Bob Saunders Cup

Four of us studied the weather intently and two had to be convinced that playing wouldn't be a good idea. It was decided however that it wouldn't be proper for the cup to be played for so the date has been rescheduled for Thursday 3rd September. I think this will make us revisit the decision to set no minimum number of competitors for trophies.
Your committee have been trying to formalise how to end our season. It looks as if the AGM and prize presentation won't be the usual format so we'll have to think of some other way.
Tommy Neilly and Brian Taylor are both waiting for surgical appointments and are likely to be out of action for quite a while so we wish them all the best.

Jimmy Banks Trophy Result

Congratulations to Jim Johnson for his winning 41 points as well as becoming the Sandpiper Champion for 2020 yesterday.
Conditions were very humid today which  made it debatable whether to wear waterproofs or not.

Due to an oversight following the cancellation of the seniors' open our reserved hour was not restored and the only times available are 11.20, 11.40 11.50, 12.40 and 12.50 unless there are cancellations. The George Doughty competition has therefore been rescheduled for Thursday 27th August. Joe will make a draw for those wishing to play on the 20th. Entries by 6.00pm Tuesday 18th.
