Only ten turned out again for what turned out to be a pleasant afternoon.
David Low cleaned up with 39 points.
I'm informed that both John Tudor and Stuart Jones are making good progress after joints surgery.

Harry Wright's 31 points was enough to take the cash off the other nine who set off.
A sudden downpour put paid to what had otherwise been a decent walk.
Spare a thought for Alan Proud who's been in for a couple of stents and will have to take things easy for a few weeks.

Incredible scores today off half handicaps, even on the short course with holes the size of buckets.
Tommy Neilly's 44 points was eclipsed by Ian Porter with 47. Terry displayed his usual elegant charm when announcing the winners.
Catering is more or less back to normal although it may be some time before the dining room is back in use.

A much better day with bright sunshine and little wind. Two 37 points took the honours, Brian Taylor being pipped on countback by Alan Heywood.

The miserable conditions were reflected in today's nineteen scores. Geoff Scott's 35 points was exceptional followed by Harry Wright with 30. The rest excelled at the mediocre.

Catering

Due to alterations to the kitchen and dining room, David will not be able to provide food or drinks until Thursday 12th January. He is hoping to set up a temporary kettle but no guarantee.

A happy and prosperous new year to everyone.
Joe "chip in twice" Campbell scored a winning 39 points in today's challenging wind, just one ahead of Geoff Waite.
The club's Open Competitions forms are now available and early entry is recommended to avoid disappointment.
