Twelve nutters turned up but the only winner was the weather. Suffice to say nobody finished and the bin on the 16th tee had two, maybe three exploded brollies in it.!

Seascale Result
Unfortunately the strong wind and threatening rain conspired against us and even our gifted captain of the day Roy Williams could only manage a half against arch enemy Bruno.
The result was 5 - 3 in favour of Seascale so we look forward to taking revenge at our home fixture later in the year.
I probably won't attend on Thursday so would someone please email me the day's result.

Thursday 5th May
The recent dry weather seems to have produced a corresponding improvement in winning scores and today was no exception.
John Gibson racked up 43 points, 4 ahead of second placed Sandy Tonner and well ahead of the remaining twenty five entries.
Owing to an odd number turning up, the advertised 4BBB was abandoned in favour of our usual singles format.
As a final reminder, please make sure all those taking part in the Seascale match are aware of the amended earlier tee times, especially your playing partner.

Tuesday 3rd May
Thirty four of us contested the George Doughty competition with thirty two remembering to record their scores on the computer. When those in the lounge were asked to guess the names of those who didn't, 100% correctly named one of the culprits as Alan Proud which is why his 40 points claimed 2nd place and isn't shown on 'Howdidido.com'.
The opportunity to take cash off Bernard and Sandy inspired me to amass 42 points and win the trophy (again).
