Wall to wall sunshine today for thirty players. I want some of what Tommy Neilly's on as his 45 points blew away the rest of the field (39 - 32). Gilmour McKellar came second with 38 points (18 - 15). Six players got shots back. Next Tuesday we play for the John Norton Cup.

Well done to the guys that played against Workington today. A fine victory 6.5 - 1.5.
Apologies to Steve Whitehead who found out for 16 holes I was a non playing captain and playing for two!
Clark
I'm now informed that Clark donated a bottle of champagne for nearest the hole on the sixth won by Clive Milburn.

Thursday 18th May
Just eighteen played today which is not surprising considering this week's busy schedule. Dave Atherton won with 35 points (15 - 13) and Terry Bunn second with 34 (16 - 15).
Gilmour's 10 week aggregate was also decided today with the result to be published in due time.
Next Thursday is the home match against Workington with two spare tee times at 11.50 and 12.00. I suggest non team members who would like to make up two fourballs make themselves known on the Sandpipers WhatsApp group.

Tuesday 16th May
Just twenty one played today due to the busy schedule. David Blain came first with 39 points (22 - 18) and myself second with the best back nine of several 37s (24 - 22).
A reminder that only four weeks remain for the first round of the championship knockouts to be played (15th June).
Carlisle Match Result
A four game each draw on Monday at Carlisle but in true play-off mode Silloth win 9 - 7 on aggregate. Truth is Silloth should be relegated due to the pathetic speech performance of their captain!!
