Thursday 27th February

A biting north wind for today's eighteen hardy players. Brian Taylor won with 36 points and a welcome return to form for Harry Wright with second placed 35.
Next Tuesday (3rd March) starts our competitions with a Texas Scramble and the Keighley Cup the week after.

Tuesday 25th February

Anyone that stayed at home missed a half decent day. John Parker thought so with 45 points and one of the highest scores we've seen for a while. Steve Buck came second with 37. I'm reminded that we revert to 11.00am kick off at the start of March.

The order for our "uniform" has to be in by 1st March to ensure delivery for our first match in April.

Tuesday 18th February

Just a small post as only ten turned up to play in the rain that stopped after we decided to turn back after the 7th. The bulk email seems to have worked although it only concerned those using the coast road.

Thursday 6th February

Two very good scores of 38 today from Martin Whelan and Gerry Fisher with Martin having the better back nine. Good to see Grant Anderson finding time for a game, Joe Campbell on his first outing for a while and Andy Edwards managing to walk to the ninth and back. Sorry to advise that David McCrum's health is still giving concern.

Tuesday 4th February

Twenty five played in today's balmy conditions, Colin Campbell and Jonathon C-Nixon taking the top spots with 37 and 36 points respectively and congratulations to Jonathon for his recent election to Captain of Silloth Golf Club. Sad news that Alan Proud hasn't joined us this year but it will leave him more time to concentrate on coaching at Carlisle Golf Centre.
