Thursday 27th January
I'm informed that it was overcast and chilly today but that didn't stop Alan Proud continuing his run of success to finish second with 37 points, remarkably, 4 points behind David Allison who will now be five shots worse off!

Tuesday 25th January
Possibly the warmest day of the year so far and the threatened rain didn't materialise.
Of the twenty four of us that turned out some might say that the cream came to the top today!
Our winner was Alan Proud with 36 points, outgunning David Low on the back nine who also had 36.
As Charles Woodhouse will be away on Thursday, this was his last game with the Sandpipers as Captain of Silloth Golf Club which he commemorated by losing a pound but I'm sure we all wish to thank him for the way he has represented both us and the Club during his year of office.
Don't forget that it is the Club's AGM on Friday and our opportunity to vote in committee members who we think will best represent our interests.

Tuesday 18th January
Another good turnout of twenty eight Sandpipers on a sunny day with a cold breeze.
John Kennedy's 39 points was well clear of the rest of the field, Jeff Smith's 34 being the nearest and claiming second prize.
Even though it's early days the course was particularly busy with members and visitors

Tuesday 11th January
Welcome to our new members who helped swell our numbers to twenty seven today.
A cold start turned into a pleasant sunny afternoon which seemed to suit Malcolm Donald with a winning score of 37 points, closely followed by Charles Woodhouse on 36.
I bumped into John Cooper the other day who sends everyone his best wishes.
He looked remarkably well, but tells me he's decided to give up golf and as a result wishes to dispose of his ride on buggy. Joe Campbell has some informal details or get in touch with John directly if you know anyone who might be interested.

Start Time
Don't forget our winter start time is 10.50am with the draw at 10.45am.
Unfortunately we were still on winter greens yesterday and unless the temperature increases dramatically the frost will still be in the ground on Tuesday.
