Captain Trevor Wilson led his team to a decisive 7 - 3 victory in conditions that can only be described as 'crap'.
Even so, all the pairings finished although only one took it as far the 16th.
Afterwards we all enjoyed a super meal and then off home to dry out all our gear.

Tuesday 23rd March
28 Sandpipers turned out to face a stiff breeze that eventually died down.
Our first official competition of the year went to Robin Binny with +4 and Harry Wright second with +3 in the bogey format.
Unfortunately, due to factors outside our control, some of us were out there for more than 4.5 hours.

Thursday 18th March
The strong wind didn't bother Charles Tidswell today and with two podium finishes in a week, his 39 points took first prize with Dave Wood second on 35.
The real highlight was Joe chasing his runaway trolley.
Don't forget that next Tuesday is a Bogey competition.

Tuesday 16th March
A reasonable day for golf with a cool southerly breeze. Surprisingly low scores however with Alan Proud's 35 and Charles Tidswells 32 being the highest points from the field of 26.
Make a note of the date as for the first time I can remember we were waved through by the group in front.
Not unsurprisingly we were all so taken aback we made a pussy's bottom of our tee shots!

Thursday 11th March
I can only report from the result sheet, having traveled to Powfoot for an away day, but John Tudor returned to winning form by edging out John Gibson who also scored 39 points in a field of 23 players.
